Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese for topping
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder for topping
  • Cooking spray with flour for greasing pan

Equipment

  • Large bowl
  • 10-inch Bundt Pan or Large Oven-Safe Skillet
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Oven
  • toothpick
  • Serving Plate

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-inch bundt pan or a large oven-safe skillet.
  2. Open the cans of biscuit dough. Cut each biscuit into quarters or smaller pieces (6-8 pieces per biscuit).
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, Parmesan cheese, parsley (if using), garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Add the biscuit pieces to the bowl with the chicken Alfredo mixture. Gently toss until the dough is well coated.
  5. Spoon the mixture into your prepared bundt pan or skillet, distributing it evenly.
  6. In a small bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and garlic powder.
  7. Drizzle the butter mixture evenly over the top of the monkey bread.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the monkey bread is golden brown and cooked through. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
  9. Let the monkey bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before inverting it onto a serving plate (or serve directly from the skillet).

Notes

Don't overbake to avoid dry monkey bread. Ensure even distribution of the chicken Alfredo mixture. Use plenty of Parmesan cheese for flavor and crust. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses, herbs, or vegetables. Grease the pan really well to prevent sticking. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping or a side salad. This can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking. For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes. Mix in chopped broccoli, spinach, or mushrooms for added nutrients. Swap out the chicken for cooked Italian sausage or ground beef.
