Method
- Preheat your oven to $400^{circ}text{F}$ ($200^{circ}text{C}$).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Mix well to combine.
- Transfer the beef mixture into a 9-inch pie plate and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and Bisquick mix until the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the Bisquick mixture evenly over the beef and cheese in the pie plate. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Ensure the ground beef is well drained before seasoning. The pie is done when the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Experiment with different cheeses like pepper jack for a kick. Pair with a fresh green salad or coleslaw to balance the richness.
