Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Season the cooked beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Stir in the ketchup and mustard until well combined. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and garlic powder (if using). Stir until well combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Spoon a generous amount of the ground beef mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Top with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the point, creating a crescent shape.
- Place the rollups on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the rollups with the beaten egg.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the rollups are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the rollups from the oven and immediately drizzle with the garlic butter sauce.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Don't overfill the rollups to prevent bursting. Seal the edges of the rollups to keep the filling inside. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes. Customize with bacon, jalapenos, or different cheeses. Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
