Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Drizzle the chicken breasts with olive oil and then rub them with the spice mixture, making sure they are evenly coated.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Use a meat thermometer to be sure!
- While the chicken is baking, prepare the hot honey glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes (if using), and butter.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the butter is melted and the glaze is smooth and slightly thickened. This should only take a few minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the oven.
- Pour the hot honey glaze over the chicken breasts, making sure they are evenly coated.
- Broil: Place the chicken back in the oven and broil for 1-2 minutes, or until the glaze is bubbly and slightly caramelized. Watch it closely to prevent burning! Or Bake: Return the chicken to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes to let the glaze set.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the top of each chicken breast.
- If desired, garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve hot and enjoy the amazing combination of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors!
Notes
Store any leftover Hot Honey Feta Chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat the chicken in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until heated through. You can also reheat it in the microwave, but be careful not to overcook it. A splash of water can help to keep it moist. For variations, try adding sun-dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and a sprinkle of oregano for a Mediterranean twist. For a brighter flavor, add lemon zest and fresh herbs like thyme and rosemary. To increase the garlic flavor, add minced garlic to the spice rub and the hot honey glaze.
